The Scientific Method is a procedure which consists of observations, measurements, testing, and forming hypothesis.
OBSERVATION: It is information gathered through observing. As a result, it leads to a hypothesis.
HYPOTHESIS: It is based on observations and can be tested. As an example, my hypothesis about my experiment was that flowers need TYPE A soil to grow faster.
PREDICTIONS: They are predictions on what can occurred in the experiment. They are obtain by testing or such observations.
ABOUT EXPERIEMENTS: An experiment is done when questions are arising from observations. Experiments have variables which are factors that change to test a hypothesis.
Data: It is information gathered through observations and testing trials.
EXAMPLE EXPERIMENT
Problem: Is a male mice smarter than a female mice?
Purpose: The purpose of my experiment is to determine which mice is smarter.
Materials: Female and Male Mice. Carton Maze. Timer.
Hypothesis: The hypothesis of the experiment is that the male mice will eventually be smarter than a female mice.
Observation: After 5 minutes, the male mice found its wall throughout obstacles. On the other hand, the female mice found its way in 7 minutes.
Conclusion: The conclusion of my experiment was that the male mixed was smarter than the female mice. As a result, the male mice finished faster than the female. Therefore, my hypothesis was proven to be correct.
So, this was just an example about a decent experiment. However, its not really proven that a male mice is a smarter than a female mice. Therefore, the experiment should have multiple trails of testing. In fact, if this experiment was more trails, graphs can be shown throughout the experiment. in other words, the experiment would have more precise data.
THE CORRELATION METHOD
Scientists use correlations in order to find and test predictions. However, using this method is quite not useful when it comes to cause and effect.
FACTS:
A Scientist uses graphs to form trends within variables that are being tested in experiment.
Bar graphs are the options for experiments that have several things.
Scientists determine the results of their experiments by analyzing their observations and trail testing's.
Scientists share their results for people to acknowledge the importance about such proven theory.
